How To Make Minecraft Always Bright (Mac & PC).

 So how many of you are starting in a new survival world with no torches... and want to go caving. UGH, no light. Well, with this trick you can make minecraft always bright- even in the darkest of caves.

Minecraft must be closed during these procedures. If it isn't, it won’t work.

 PC:

 Step 1: Locate your minecraft directory. Type "%appdata%" into the Windows tab at the bottom of your screen. Click.minecraft Step 2 - Scroll down until the options.txt file appears. Click on it. Step 3: Step 4: You will see a line that reads gamma 1.0. Change it to gamma 1000.0. Step 4: Hit File and then Save.

 Mac:

 Step 1: At the top task bar, hit Go, then hit Computer which is the 4th option from the drop down. Step 2 : Click the top option, which you will find your hard disk. Mine is called Macintosh HD Step 3: Click the bottom choice, which is Users, then click on your user. It will be the first option, and have a picture of a house on the left side. Step 4 - Click Library, then Application support. Step 5: You will see a folder called minecraft. Click on it.  Fake root Step 6: Scroll down until you find the options.txt files. Step 7 - Click on it Step 8 : Step 7 : Scroll down four lines until you find the options.txt file. Step 8 : Change the line that says Gamma:1.0 to Gamma: 1000.0 Step 9 : Hit File then Save and you are done!
